Delicious This Year?
Just when I'm starting to enjoy making my online bookmark on Delicious, Yahoo! decided to announce this. Though there is no confirmed schedule or which company will take on Delicious and not sure if any company will want to take it on, as the traffic and user might have dropped significantly due to the prompted early announcement from Yahoo.
I do believe Yahoo! Inc as a company is benefiting from the press and stock market, after their announcement their stock has gone up (if you look at the graph, particularly on Dec 17 on laying off employees and business model shifts among others). Although traffic for Delicious has been declining, although we can be certain as a lot of people relies on their web-browser installed add-ons.Oh well, I guess we should move on, there are tons of blog post covering this topic, as well as recommendation on changing to another online bookmarking service. I am trying out ZooTool and finding it ok so far, although loading interface can be a bit slow to load. But they did anticipate Delicious move and decided to act on by giving an import html options, read their announcement here.
